The four noble truths are explained in the 分別聖諦經 Saccavibhaṅgasutta in the Madhyamāgama 中阿含經, which is equivalent to the Majjhima Nikāya 141 in the Pāli Canon (DJBT 'Shishōtai'; Nyanatiloka Thera 1980, 'sacca'; T 26, Scroll 7; FGDB '四諦').
