Notes: (1126-1193) Fan Chengda was a Southern Song poet. He is best kwown for composing two series of jueju 绝句 style poems. The first series of 72 jueju was composed during an official visit to the Jin capital in present-day Beijing in 1170. The second, titled Sishi Tianyuan Za Xing 四时田园杂兴, is a series of 60 jueju written in 1186 after his retirement to rural life. He also wrote Record of a Boat Trip to Wu 吴船录 describing his trip down the Yangtze from Sichuan in 1170, Record of Holding the Reins 揽辔录 about his trip to the Jin capital in present-day Beijing in 1170, and Canluan Lu 骖鸾录 describing his trip to Guilin in 1173 (Idema and Haft 1997, p. 155, 161).
